Easter Friends

For today's oldie but goodie I am showcasing "Scene It Easter", from Bugaboo Stamps.

I love this bright plaid paper, it's so bright and cheery.  The sentiment was created in Sure Cuts A Lot 4 and uploaded to Design Space.  This could be done directly in DS, but I wanted a shadow layer, which I cut from Vellum, it's really hard to see in the picture.  The line itself is .10", and with the letters the image height is approx. 1".  I made the lines, 5.75" so they could be used on both portrait and landscape cards.

I cut a little strip of grass, a DS image, and added under the frame, then a few drops of Nuvo Jewel Drops in Key Lime.

Supplies:
Designer Paper - Echo Park Celebrate Easter
Die-Namics Inside and Out Stitched Squares
Die-Namics A2 Stitiched Rectangles Stax
Sentiment - CTMH

Challenges:
Simon Says Inside the Box - Monday
CHNC Patterned Paper
MFT Card Challenge Sketch #378
A Gem of a Challenge #215 - Easter Time

Happy Easter with Funny Bunny

Todays card features the new release  "Funny Bunnies" from Bugaboo Stamps.

Here is my inspiration for this card,

I saw this card at Wal-Mart and thought it was cute.  I searched for a similar font and couldn't find one, so I used Sure Cuts a Lot 4 to create my own.

I did cut up the original image,  by removing the background bunnies and eggs.  The eggs were placed on top of the T,  and I discarded the other bunnies.

Using my Cricut Explore,  I sliced the letters from a rectangle, which is used for my background layer.  I did use a stitched die and embossing folder for added interest.  I recommend cutting the stitched square, before embossing, or you will flatten out the embossed impression.

I placed the letters within each blank space, using the inlay die cut technique.   The link will bring you to an instruction video by Jennifer McGuire, she has tons of inspiration and instructional videos.

The flowers are images available with the Cricut Access subscription.

I added Nuvo Crystal Drops for the flower centers.

Here is a link to the svg file I created for the letters,  no Y is included.  Happy Easter file (I hope this link works, it worked for me, but it is my account, I am hoping I can share)

Supplies:
Cricut card stock
Swiss Dots Embossing folder - Cuttlebug
Die-Namics A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax
Nuvo Crystal Drops - Dandelion Yellow

Easter Treat Bags

I saw this adorable little treat box bag on the internet and really needed to make some for Easter.  I am featuring Bunny & Chick Topper from Bugaboo Stamps.

I couldn't find a file anywhere that I could use so I made my own.  I used an existing mini bag file I had and made some modifications.    First I chopped off the top of the box to have about 1.5" box sides,  then I welded to larger panels to the front and back as shown below.

I used the 10.5"size for my little boxes, this allows you to cut 2 per  12x12" card stock.  The finished size is 2.75"Wx1.5"Dx4.5"H.  My egg frame was made using the new Lawn Fawn Egg Dies released this month.  I added the scalloped edges with some border dies.

Supplies:
Designer Paper - Spring Drop (First Edition Paper - JoAnn's)
Twine - CTMH Fern green and Cotton Candy
Lawn Fawn Easter Egg Frames

Sketch with Stella #606

It’s time for another sketch with Stella and today I am featuring Egg Tulip Bunny from Bugaboo Stamps.

I flipped the sketch, because I wasn't paying attention when I cut out my circle and the print was upside down.  Why didn't I just flip it, well I decided to save a little paper and cut a partial circle, so it couldn't be turned around.

Supplies:
Nuvo Crystal Drops  - Caribbean Ocean
Stamp: CTMH - C1638 Spring Critters
Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils (AMZ)

Mermazing Birthday

It's been ages since I bought this cute little Mermaid stamp by Lawn Fawn.  I have been wanting to use it and this weeks sketch at MyFavoriteThings, seemed perfect for it.

#LawnFawn-Mermaid for You by MCR
First, I did a watercolored background with my new watercolors.  I cut my bubbles from white glitter card stock, I created the bubble image in Design space and cut it with my Cricut Explore.  TheI mermaids are colored with my Spectrum Noir Markers, I added a   a layer of Nuvo Glitter Gloss on top of the outfit and hair for some sheen.

I created my own sentiment in Pages (MAC) and printed it with my laser printer and foiled it with a turquoise foil.  The font for "mermazing" is Starfish.  I added a little bling with a few clear confetti sequins and then placed a cute little flower in their hair, which is covered in Glossy Accents.

Get Better Soon!

This card is featuring today's Freebie Friday image from Bugaboo Stamps.

I colored just along the edges of the bandages, trying to add a little dimension.  The card stock I used is already watercolored, so that isn't my doing.  I used distress inks in Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire to color the edges of my back layer and circle frame, then spattered a few drops to the card front too.

This is a simple clean sketch, I found it in my sketch folder I had saved from a previous week at My Favorite Things Sketch Challenge.  To keep it simple I only added  a few drops of Nuvo Crystal Drops in Pale Gold.

Other Supplies:
Sentiment: HoneyBee Stamps - Sending You Sentiments
Designer Paper - Momento 8x8" Watercolor

Happy St. Patrick's Day

It’s time for another sketch with Stella and today I am featuring Theodore - shamrocks from Bugaboo Stamps.

I found two different plaids in my stash that are perfect for St. Pat’s Day.  I don’t have much to say about how I made this card, it is really very simple.  I did use my laser printer to make the sentiment since I don’t have many St. Pat stamps. I applied green foil to the sentiment

I think next time I will color his hat green, my ladybug seems to have gotten lost.

Simon Says challenge this week is in the garde.  I am not much of a gardener, so all that clove is exactly how my garden looks, all weeds.

Supplies:
Paper - The Paper Studio (Hobby Lobby)
Nuvo Crystal Drops  - Ebony and Woodland green
Spellbinders Scallop Circles
